Caldbeck is a picturesque village in the heart of the Caldbeck Fells. The village is the ideal base from which to explore the northern Lake District with Bassenthwaite Lake, Dodd Wood, Ashness Bridge, Whinlatter Forest with mountain bike and Gruffalo trails, Go Ape and The Lake District Wildlife Park all within a 15 minute drive. Keswick with numerous attractions, shops, bars, restaurants and Derwentwater where lake cruises can be enjoyed is less than half an hours drive. Greenside Cottage overlooks the village green and duck pond in an enviable location in Caldbeck. Accessed through the walled front garden the cottage has night storage heaters and underfloor heating in the shower room and comprises: Living room with traditional features with beams and seating around the open fire and TV. The beamed dining/kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and washing machine. The first floor has a master double and twin bedroom with a TV in the twin. Shower room with hand basin and WC. All electric, initial supply of coal for the open fire, bed linen and towels provided. Cot available on request. Garden with patio area with seating and lawned garden.
