We bought Grove House in 2002 and have now made it our own by adding new bedrooms, building a garage and having all of our rooms en suite, it took four years but we did it. The house is beautifully appointed and has a warm homely feel for our guests. Parking is in Grove Gardens YO26 6DE next to the garage with the white roller door. Our address is still Main Street but we have two access to the property, people on foot use Main Street people in a car use Grove Gardens.
My passions are food and entertaining people, I love to cook and make everything from the garden and from our local suppliers. I trained as a chef in my younger days and have always wanted to set up my own Bed and Breakfast, at last I have done it!
Upper Poppleton is so central to everything, you can visit York, Harrogate, and Ripon and the Dales from our property with ease. The village is 3 miles form York, the garden is stunning, south facing and beautiful we grew grapes this year ! amazing!
