The location is 3 miles from the North York Moors National Park, one of the largest areas of open heather moorland in Europe offering outstanding walking and views across the vale of York and the east coast. The coast at Scarborough, Whitby and Filey is 18 miles away. The city of York is 23 miles away and accessibke by car, train and bus.
