Set in the beautiful Teign Valley, Halls Cleave sits on the edge of Fingle woods (Woodland Trust), offering miles of woodland walks from the bottom of our drive. The house sleeps 2 with all the amenities & Wi-Fi. Fully equipped kitchen where you can cook all those special goodies you bought on the way here. Sit on the balcony & look out over the woods, or watch the birds & bees in our Woodland garden. Large conservatory for rainy days & Summer evenings. Halls Cleave is set in our private woodland bordering Halls Cleave Wood, part of the wider Fingle Woods. From our drive and by crossing one lane you have access to miles of Woodland Trust owned tracks which meander through the valley. Very much off the beaten track & incredibly beautiful. The property is a mid century barn conversion and we have embraced that ideal during the renovation, it allows you to really feel that you are staying in a forest garden, but dry, cosy and warm. During your stay the space is entirely yours. It is set within a fenced enclosure full of wild & cultivated woodland plants & trees, a wonderful mixture of both. The car park is shared but with your own clearly marked space.

The house has everything you need for a comfy, relaxing stay. The property is designed for guests to visit privately and to simply enjoy the space and location, people free! We live here too but try to let guests really have a sense of escape, so we do not greet guests but are always available via the message app and by telephone should there be any problems, and we are always happy to help. Access to the property is via a key safe. Our phone number is on the manual. We are a working farm / forestry so you may occasionally hear us going about our work, or may see us passing through the woodland.

Dartmoor is vast, rugged, and wild. Full of character and charm. Villages and moorland towns are abundant. There are gentle and challenging walks straight from our property for those looking for a nature immersed peaceful break away.
