The location is amazing, the house is clearly well maintained and taken care of, we loved all the nice attentions - water and milk in the fridge, the lovely decor, the comfortable and cozy living room - everything was very clean too!

This is a unique accommodation, unlike any we have previously stayed in (which is a lot). An unusual and interesting layout makes it a 'quirky' place to stay - that we thought was truly charming. The owner has obviously put a lot of thought into...

Relax and unwind in Harlequin Cottage which is around 350 years old and situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Llangernyw in North Wales, just outside the Snowdonia National Park region. Harlequin cottage is just off the main A548 route which runs from Abergele to the gorgeous LLanwrst, the cottage has a small village shop next door for convenience and is opposite The Old Stag Inn - in fact it is only 20 steps from the front door to the pub where you can enjoy a great welcome, lovely food and a pint of beer or glass of wine.
I am a full time Paramedic working around North Wales, I trained out in Western Australia and have both British and Australian nationality, this is my only property and I am passionate about making your stay the best.
The village itself is very peaceful and has numerous walks in the surrounding areas, the A548 which runs through the village can take you into the heart of the mountains of Snowdonia and its surrounding lakes or you can head to the coast and experience the beautiful beaches of North Wales. The cottage is situated a couple of minutes walk from the famous Yew Tree, estimated to be around four-five thousand years old and was even visited by King Charles (formally Prince Charles) in 2018. The yew is accessible to the public who are able to see and touch the tree up close. The Yew is considered to be one of the oldest trees in Wales and was named as one of 'Fifty Great British Trees' in celebration of the Queen's Jubilee. The yew tree grows north of Saint Digain's Church in Llangernyw. Saint Digain's church is estimated to have been built in the 13th century in the place of an early medieval temple, erected in accordance with tradition by Saint Digain. Saint Digain was a 5th century saint and the Church is now a grade II listed building. You can reach Saint Digain's Chruch and the Yew Tree by turning right out of the cottage and turning immediately left, both are a couple of minutes walk up the road. Please be careful on this road as there are farm vehicles passing frequently. The Old Stag Inn is situated over the road from the cottage where a warm welcome is always guaranteed alongside an open fire. The Old Stag also offers a glimpse into village life of yesteryears and is adorned with pictures and items to reflect the village through time. *** note The attic area is not suitable for young children under 7 yrs of age due to a small staircase to access ***
