Of course, it’s not all about Haven House! The town of Leyburn has multiple pubs each serving food, several cafes & restaurants as well as takeaway options all within a couple of minutes' walk. There are also plenty of shopping options with a local delicatessen and supermarket and much more. There are beautiful local walks ranging from 1 to 6 hours or more. Local visitor attractions are abundant, such as; The Wensleydale Brewery (5min walk), Gin distillery (5 min walk), the Cattle auctions market (2 min walk), Harmby Waterfall (15 min walk) or the Tennents Auction rooms restaurant and tea rooms (10 min walk). Further afield a great day can be had at Forbidden Corner (10 min drive) or Lightwater valley children's theme park (30 min drive). Reeth, Richmond, Catterick or Middleham (the home of racing in the north) are all only a short 15-minute drive away. Visiting Wensleydale is never complete without a trip to the world-famous Wensleydale Creamery. But of course, whatever your plans for the day, a relaxing evening back at Haven House awaits you and after a great night's sleep, our fantastic breakfast will set you up for the next days' adventures.
