Hodgkinsons Hotel stands in the heart of the beautiful Peak District on the edge of the National Park. Guests can relax in the cosy lounge, where bottled local beers, wines, teas and barista coffee are available. Our **restaurant is open Thursday to Saturday evenings, 6pm–9pm, for pre-booked tables only**, offering a menu focused on locally sourced steaks and homemade sides. The restaurant is decorated in a classic Victorian style—an inviting, characterful setting ideal for hosting guests on any occasion. Please enquire about bookings for special events, including wedding parties and private celebrations. Stepping outside, you’ll find a wealth of attractions on your doorstep. The Peak District Mining Museum, Mini Aquarium and scenic “Lovers’ Walk” are all close by. A short riverside stroll leads to Matlock Bath railway station, and a relaxed two-mile walk brings you to Matlock town with its vibrant mix of shops, restaurants, bars and park. **Other information:** As the property is 250 years old and Grade II listed, bedrooms are arranged over three floors with no lift, which may be unsuitable for some guests. There is limited parking available, located up a steep hill to the side of the property. There is also public parking on the main road. Guests are provided with their own entry key for ease of access at all hours throughout their stay.
