The surrounding countryside is fabulous for off road, walks and exploring. Blenhiem Palace is 5mins away and they constantly host events. Christmas lights are a particular favourite. We are ideally located for anyone going to Soho Farmhouse, Cornbury Horse trials, Clarksons Farm, Bicester Village, Daylesford, Adam Hendersons Farm, Burford Wildlife Park and The Cotswolds Oxford, Witney and beyond. I have been hosting our holiday house for eight years and have superhost status from other platforms. Hollyhock House has been in my family for 5 generations. It’s the perfect spot for families and quiet gatherings. We live at the top of the lane, so we are in touch with guests if they need us during their stay. The house is located on a quiet lane, and surrounded by countryside. The village of Stonesfield sits in an AONB and is a quiet neighbourhood. If you are looking for a party house this isn't the place for you. Happy to host family parties, just not loud groups, or weddings etc. I must respect my neighbours. Stonesfield has no street lights and so you will need to bring a torch if you want to explore the village at night and the garden/BBQ hut. There is lighting in the BBQ hut. Just not in the garden, its worth noting there are steps to negotiate, from the decking into the garden. The village shop Londis, is well stocked, should you run out of anything and all major supermarkets deliver groceries to the house. There is a social club where you can get beers/wine. Village pub opens very soon. There are some fabulous local pubs for eating out. The Bull Inn in Charlbury. The Bell in Charlbury, The Royal Oak at Ramsden, The Duke at Woodleys, The Killingworth Castle at Wootton. All 10 mins drive from the house. Woodstock itself has a plethora of establishments to chose from. Best to book if you are a large group. Ideally you need a car as it's a rural location. There are bus services to and from Oxford, Witney. Nearest train is Charlbury out of Paddington. Airports, Heathrow. Private jets out of Oxford Airport, smaller 2 seater airplanes/helicopters access to grass run way in the village - by private appointment.
