Honeysuckle Cottage-North Devon is located in an idyllic rural setting, yet only 10 minutes drive to the beach. It dates back to the 1800s, converted from farm stables and barns and is set within a courtyard with far reaching views of the countryside and the coast. Nestled on the outskirts of West Down village is this delightful little two bedroomed cottage set amongst large gardens. It is the perfect base for exploring and enjoying the stunning North Devon coast, Exmoor or the many nearby attractions all year. Honeysuckle Cottage is compact and sleeps a maximum of 4 people including children aged 3 and over in two or three beds. For comfort we recommend a maximum of 3 adults but happy to accommodate 4 if required. One king size bed with an optional small twin set up (2ft 6 each wide)one double bed. There is a modern kitchen (note no freezer)and a newly renovated shower room. In the lounge there is a smart TV with access to netflix and prime and a butterfly dining table seating four comfortably. Guests can enjoy use of three gardens, one a playing field plus a tennis court and a “ rustic no frills” games room. We accept one dog. Large dog exercise field is available for guests to use (closed a few weeks per year) . Patio table and chairs provided.

Woolacombe and Ilfracombe are just 10 minutes drive and beautiful Exmoor within easy reach. The property is less than 1 mile, about 10 minute walk to West Down village which has a lovely pub serving food at lunch time and evening, a small convenience store and church. There is also a playing field with children’s play equipment within the village. From the field is a delightful wooded walk along a stream. The cottage has an allocated parking space. It is best to have use of a car, although there is a good bus route to Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Barnstaple within a 30 minute walk to the bus stop. Bikes can be hired in Braunton and Barnstaple.
