Paddock View is a beautiful, old semi-detached cottage with a private garden with pretty much sun all day/evening. It is totally enclosed and dog proof (unless your pet is a kangaroo)! There's nice outside furniture with cushions.
The cottage was professionally redecorated and refurbished at the beginning of 2025.
The bedrooms are large with BOTH having super king-size beds (6ft). We can no longer offer to split the beds to be twin but we CAN offer two separate duvets/covers on one of them which makes them feel like single beds very close together.
The sitting area is small (it’s a small cottage) and has a small 3 seater and a 'love chair'. Paddock View is an intimate and romantic single story cottage, sympathetically converted from an old stable block.
Truro, Cornwall's capital city, is just 4 miles away and if you don't want to drive there is a bus stop at the end of our 70m lane.
You will LOVE the peace and quiet, the sunsets and proximity to the whole of Cornwall! Close enough to beaches and towns but tucked away in your own little haven.
Totally enclosed and private garden safe for children and dogs.
The cottage was fully refurbished in winter 2025 so has a new kitchen and bathroom with a full bath and shower over. 2 x super king beds (6ft) with quality hotel mattresses AND 3 inch cool technology memory foam mattress toppers. (Beds are supportive but are NOT firm so apologies if you are looking for a firm bed).
There is a new wooden car port easily big enough for 2 cars and bicycles next to the cottage and a separate store housing the boiler with a washing machine and tumble dryer for (shared) use with your sister cottage opposite. There is a one pound coin meter for their use which will do a while load of washing and drying.
For anyone with pet allergies, please tell me before you book. We take pride in using a specialist dog cleaning service which is supposed to remove ALL traces of dog dander etc from the property :)
Hi, I am Liz and I love Cornwall!
I have a beautiful German Short-haired Pointer who you might occasionally glimpse out in the fields and he is 100% child (and dog) friendly.
My travel style now is a far cry from my early days of travelling and working my way round other continents. Now I go for luxury, comfy beds to sink into and all the mod cons. Must be middle age as I am even beginning to like gardening post-lockdown ;)
I strive to make my little cottages exactly how I would like them if I were choosing a place to stay, stylish, practical and very comfortable. I think you will love them!
Lastly, I hesitate to put this for fear of being judged badly, but I am a perfectionist :( Anything other than a 10/10 upsets me for weeks (literally) and I obsess over what I could have done (within my power) to make it better. Therefore, if anything is wrong, broken, missing PLEASE tell me immediately and I will do everything I can to make it perfect for you. I deliberately make my cottage the cheapest for what it offers just so people are amazed at how lovely it is for the money and with all the extras I put in. Please remember, if you are comparing it to a 5* luxury hotel - and you don't think it's as good - that's not what you are paying for! Please compare it to the one small bedroom at the Premier Inn you would get which doesn't allow dogs and has no kitchen or living room for the same price! ;)
I really love meeting people and trying to make your stay extra special. Look forward to seeing you soon!!
Well! Cornwall, how to describe the beauty and magic if you have never been....
A paradise for walkers with the Cornish Coastal Path ranking the best on Trip Advisor in the UK with unparalleled views.
Beaches (most dog friendly and a surfers paradise) are sub-tropical in some places and with the sun shining, hard to tell from the photos that you are not in the Caribbean!
World class museums, castles and more visitor attractions and adventures than you can shake a stick at! We are right in the middle of Cornwall and no-one here is more than about 7 miles from a beach! Our nearest is Perranporth which is home to the famous Tunes in the Dunes; and The Watering Hole pub, the ONLY pub right on a beach in England :)
Occasionally, guests may not rate the location a 10. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and as with location it will totally depend what you are looking for. If you want to walk out of your front door and walk to restaurants and bars and a town centre this is NOT for you! (That's a short drive away). If however you want to wake up to no sounds but the birds and walk in the country side, or drive to any of the amazing sights and visitor attractions in across Cornwall , we are bang in the middle so this is the place for you! :)
