Aberdovey is a charming village, known for its picturesque beauty and blessed with a stunning backdrop and four miles of sandy beaches and sand dunes. At the western end of the village lies a championship golf course, attracting golf enthusiasts from all over. For those with a love of the water, Aberdovey offers numerous options, rowing, sailing, canoeing, and sailboarding. During the summer, the village comes alive with yachting and sailing regattas. There are a variety of bars and restaurants serving up delicious local fare. Crabbing here is a must-try activity for visitors of all ages, anywhere off the pier or wharf, grab a crabbing line and bucket, some bait from the butchers and you're ready to go! If you're up for exploring the surroundings, take a scenic ride on the Tallylyn railway and visit Dolgoch Falls. Nearby, the market town of Machynlleth hosts a weekly market. The Centre of Alternative Technology near Corris is a fascinating destination to explore. If you're feeling particularly energetic, consider conquering the peaks of Snowdon and Cader Idris. With its numerous walking and cycling routes throughout the area Aberdovey has something for everyone.
