Ivy House is an award-winning boutique B&B in the historic market town of St Austell, in the heart of Cornwall. The house was built in the 1830s as a traditional Cornish manor house. With original period features throughout, it is a fine late-Georgian property with large rooms and high ceilings. Thoroughly modernised inside, it offers guests the chance to stay in a beautiful, traditional Cornish home with all the comforts of a modern house. We offer a choice of 3 bedrooms (a maximum of 6 guests) and all prices include a generous breakfast. Ivy House is situated in a private park and gardens a very short walk away from St Austell train/bus station and the town centre (with shops, pubs, restaurants, etc). Free parking & free Wifi.
Hello, my name is James and I own and run Ivy House. After more than 20 years living in London and working as a journalist, I recently moved to Cornwall to enjoy the scenery and fresh air – and for a new experience. I look forward to welcoming you to Ivy House, to St Austell, and to Cornwall.
Ivy House is situated in the middle of Cornwall, making it the perfect location to explore the county. It is possible to visit all parts of Cornwall on a day trip while you’re based here. We're very close to the major attractions of the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the historic port of Charlestown, and the fishing harbours of Fowey and Mevagissey - as well as the beaches of St Austell Bay.
