Kirby Cottage is a secluded two bedroom cottage located in the pretty village of Harome which lies in the Howardian Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and on the edge of the North Yorkshire National Park.

Information correct at time of writing. Set on the edge of The North Yorkshire Moors National Park, a vibrant landscape, rich in wildlife, countless walks and places to visit. Harome is an attractive village, with pretty traditional cottages (many thatched) and two sort after pubs, The Pheasant is a 3 rosette awarded restaurant; and The Star Inn with its very own Michelin star, serves modern Yorkshire food to the highest of standards (forward booking essential). The market towns of Kirkbymoorside, Pickering, Malton, and Thirsk are all within 20 miles. York can be reached in less than 45 minutes. There is an excellent Park and Ride service from the outskirts of the city of York where you can find a wealth of museums and historic buildings as well as theatres, cinemas and restaurants. There are numerous other places of interest, all a short drive away. Rievaulx Abbey, Byland Abbey, Castle Howard, Mount Grace Priory, Hutton le Hole and the North York Moors Railway are a sample of the many attractions in the area. For those wishing to relax there is the Verbena Spa at the Feversham Arms Hotel in Helmsley. The East coast is less than one hours drive away, Whitby is 33 miles and Scarborough 30 miles. The beautiful seaside villages of Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay are within a short drive from these centres.
