Location was good for exploring New Forest, Motor Museum and National Trust properties. Lots of hot water for a bath, but the bathroom itself was cold due to the radiator not working initially.

Location was quiet and accessible to the northern New Forest area. The new air fryer was very good and some provisions were left for us. Bedrooms were very cosy.

The cottage is wonderful. It is comfortable, with squishy sofas and two good sized double bedrooms. There is a small kitchenette, which offers basic heating of food with a microwave and an air fryer.

Set in the scenic and wondrous New Forest National Park, this beautiful (17th Century) two bedroom cottage is perfect for people looking to get away to a peaceful spot. It is an ideal location from where you can explore the whole of The New Forest or the amazing varied beaches, enjoy the ancient cities of Salisbury and Winchester, the nearby Royal town of Romsey and the buzz of Southampton. It has it's own sunny garden space, fenced off for your lovely furry friends to wander around in, and private entrance for you to enjoy coming and going at your leisure.
I like guests to feel comfortable and well thought of so they can really enjoy the experience of being in our dream family home. As a well-loved Forest abode it is used to lots of people and is spacious and welcoming. We have dogs who stay downstairs and our home is filled with beautiful gifts of sentimental value made or painted by my creative and artistic whole family. Our garden is stocked with trees & shrubs to commemorate special events too! As we live next door, we will be available at various times to answer any questions you may have and help you make the most of your stay. Please do let us know in advance if you have any special requirements so we can help as best we can or, if in the unfortunate event we cannot cater for them, we can let you know ahead of time.
There are excellent hostelries within walking distance and a 5 minute drive in Landford and Nomansland. The surrounding landscape is perfect for walking in The New Forest and fields. You can walk straight from the house without needing to drive. There are all the local villages from the Witches in Burley, to the Cuckoo Fair in Downton, the Christmas Fayre in Beaulieu, Lymington for sailing and Salisbury and Romsey with their markets. There is a Hamptworth Golf Course just around the corner with tennis courts. Limewood Hotel in Lyndhurst, the capital of the New Forest, has exceptional spa facilities. Chewton Glen near Highcliffe, a culinary peak, has wonderful spa days and a walk to the beach along with The Noisy Lobster at Mudeford Quay. Mudeford Quay, Hengistbury Head, The Pig On The Beach just beyond Shell Bay, Bournemouth are all stupendous areas of outstanding beauty and easy driving distance. All while also being a 20 minute drive to Southampton City center. The property is very easy access directly off the A36 at Northlands in Landford, less than 10 minutes up the A36 from Junction 2 of the M27
