Mockerkin is a 2 bedroom lodge situated on the shore of Bassenthwaite Lake in the Lake District. Refurbished 2025. Fantastic views of the lake from the hot tub, 1 minute walk to the lake. Privately owned fantastic cosy lodge with many more amenities than you get booking through site lodges. We take extra care to make your stay the best possible experience. Late check out 10:00 (site check out 09:00) Two bedrooms - Master bedroom, king size bed with en-suite bathroom access with large corner bath and shower Twin room with en-suite access to shower room. Modern well equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Comfortable sitting room with two sofas, flat screen TV, electric fire and dining table for 4. Access to decking area, BBQ, table and four chairs and large 4 person hot tub. Fantastic views of the lake and surrounding fells. Parking for 2 cars. Access to the sites dog walking field next door where your dogs can run free off lead. Fantastic views of Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite lake. Osprey viewing area for the local Osprey population. Local bird wildlife sanctuary 2 minute walk. Great location for doing the Wainwright walks, then come back and recover on our 40 degree hot tub. Kayak, Paddle Board or Wild Swim in a beautiful clean lake right on your doorstep. We would like to welcome you to Mockerkin Lodge in the heart of the Lake District. Mockerkin Lodge is situated on a 5* award winning quite site on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake. As a privately owned lodge we like to provide you with many extras that you would not receive in site based lodge....games, kitchen utensils, hot tub towels, extra blankets, homely cushions and so much more. A home from home - but with a hot tub :).
Mockerkin lodge is situated on Bassenthwaite Lake with the mountain of Skiddaw nearby providing breathtaking views in the heart of the Lake District National Park. There are a variety of walks and activities nearby . The village of Bassenthwaite is a five minute drive and has a great pub for local dining. The towns of Keswick and Cockermouth are located nearby. This peaceful lodge is in an idyllic location where you can spend time exploring the fells and mountains nearby or simply relaxing in one of the most beautiful areas in England. Quiet site with access to adjoining dog walking field where your dogs can run freely off the lead with great views of Skiddaw. Small children's play park, and jetty for launching of kayaks, boats etc. Bassenthwaite Lake is also a great view point for the local Ospreys nesting near by.
