Our small, cosy cottage is set in a rural location, next door to a livery stables, with beautiful views across fields towards the River Medway, yet just a five minute drive from Tonbridge town centre. Perfectly situated for visits to local attractions such as Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, Knole Park and Royal Tunbridge Wells to name but a few. Perfect for couples or a single visitor, the 1-bed cottage is self-contained with outside patio area and parking (a car is recommended for your visit). Please note that the bathroom is on the ground floor.

I am a classical musicians’ agent living in Kent, married to Angus, a historical novelist, and we have two children, Emma and Robin. In 2018, we converted our outhouse into a one-bedroom cottage and are now delighted to offer it as a holiday let. We live on the edge of Tonbridge, in a rural location but very close to the town centre. We live right next door in the farmhouse and are usually on hand at all times, but we will leave you in peace unless you need us.

The cottage is situated in a quiet, rural location on the edge of Tonbridge, yet is very close to local shops, pubs, restaurants and the town centre. The cottage overlooks the watermeadows leading down to the river Medway where horses and sheep graze. Perfectly located for easy access to both London and the south east coast, the cottage is a 40 minute drive from Gatwick airport and 1 hr from Heathrow. Tonbridge train station is a 7 minute drive from the cottage. There are many National Trust and English Heritage properties in the area, excellent cycle and walking routes, opportunities for boating on the river, and good shopping in nearby Tunbridge Wells or Maidstone. Some of the many local attractions include Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, Knole House and Park, Leeds Castle and Chartwell. A car is recommended but there are good train links from Tonbridge station to London (35 mins), Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Dover and Folkstone. Buses are also available to Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone.
