Please note the house does feature a space saving staircase, meaning the upstairs sleeping area is not suitable for babies/toddlers, elderly or those who might struggle with a steeper than normal staircase. There is however an accessible double bedroom on the ground floor with no stairs, suitable for all. Baby gate can be provided if requested.

Within a brief 5-minute drive, you can reach the picturesque Porthtowan Beach and the St Agnes heritage coastline. This Blue Flag award-winning beach, located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a popular surfing destination bordered by soft golden sand, expansive dunes, and dramatic cliffs. Lifeguard services are available from May 1st to September 26th, with weekend coverage in October and full coverage during October half term. During low tide, you can take a scenic walk from the beach to Chapel Porth to the east or further to St Agnes Beacon, passing the iconic Wheal Coates. The recommended time for this walk is summer, as the sunsets are truly spectacular. Chapel Porth Beach is also reachable from the lodge in approximately 20 minutes on foot. About 7 minutes away from the lodge, you'll find the Victory Inn, a fantastic pub perfect for a well-deserved drink after a hike. Another hidden gem is the Porthtowan tidal pool, accessible only at low tide, making it one of North Cornwall's best-kept secrets.
Venture towards St Agnes, and you'll discover the creative hub known as Wheal Kitty Workshops, home to Finisterre, Canteen, and Surfers Against Sewage.
