The Shepherd's Hut was beautifully fitted out, clean and comfortable. My only comment would be that the property is advertised as bed and breakfast but I was supplied with a welcome pack, which was perfectly good but not quite what i was expecting.

The location was great with excellent parking, however, signage to find the accommodation wasn't good. The setting and level of quality of the hut couldn't be faulted. I would of liked the lighted the skylight to have had a blind for when sleeping.

Geoff and Phil welcome you to Lower Crankan Farm. Built in 1790, the farmhouse is located 2 miles north of Penzance in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Lowena is our brand new shepherd's hut and is fully self contained. Lower Crankan is a working smallholding with chickens and a small herd of Belted Galloway cattle, horses and happy Harry, the dog. The ground floor de luxe guest room has access onto its own patio and contains a king size bed, en suite shower room, flat screen TV (Sky) and tea making facilities. On the first floor, there is a king bedroom and a double bedroom, let together as the suite sleeping 2-4 people, with a shared bathroom. We regret no pets are allowed. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the house and in Lowena, and plenty of available parking. For those leaving the mainland to travel to the Isles of Scilly, it is possible to leave your car at Lower Crankan Farm for a fee.
We pride ourelves in our hospitality and knowledge of the local area, including places to eat or visit and this is reflected in the feedback we receive from our guests. We are always looking to improve our service and welcome any feedback that will assist us in achieving this goal. We nmow do not provide breakfast.
A car is essential to make the best of your stay. The farm is located a half hour walk into Penzance and about the same distance to the nearest eatery. There is a limited bus service running from Penzance to St Ives which stops at the end of the lane to Lower Crankan Farm.
