Experience Cornwall at its finest from The Watch House, a stunning coastal retreat perched on Falmouth’s historic Custom House Quay. With breathtaking panoramic views across Falmouth Bay, the harbour, and the Roseland Peninsula, this unique home blends modern luxury with centuries of seafaring charm.
Sleeping up to eight guests across 3 bedrooms (plus a sofa bed) and 4 bathrooms, The Watch House offers space, style, and unbeatable views from every floor.
On the ground floor, a serene bedroom sits just above the waterline — drift off to the sound of the sea below. There’s also a bathroom and laundry room for added convenience.
The first floor features two beautifully designed ensuite bedrooms, each offering a peaceful retreat after a day exploring the coast.
The second floor is the heart of the home — an open-plan living and dining space framed by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the harbour. Watch sailing boats race, ferries glide by, and superyachts arrive as you dine or unwind in comfort.
At the top, the third floor observation deck boasts sweeping 360° views — from Penryn River to St Mawes and beyond — along with a sofa bed and ensuite shower room, perfect for flexible sleeping or a quiet hideaway.
Step outside and Falmouth is at your feet: vibrant shops, galleries, cafés, and award-winning restaurants are all within moments. Beaches, coastal walks, and regular ferries to St Mawes and Flushing are just a short stroll away.
Offering historic charm, spectacular sea views, and contemporary coastal comfort, The Watch House is more than a place to stay — it’s a front-row seat to Falmouth’s living maritime story.

One of the best things about The Watch House is its unbeatable location — right in the heart of Falmouth. You won’t need the car once you arrive, as everything is just a short stroll away: the harbour, shops, cafés, beaches, and restaurants are all on your doorstep. The train station is only a 5-minute walk, and the bus stop is around 10 minutes away, making it easy to explore the wider area without the hassle of parking.
Falmouth is a proper working harbour town with a brilliant maritime vibe — lively waterfront, great seafood, beaches you can actually walk to from town, and history tucked into every headland. It’s charming without being twee.
Top sights (don’t miss):
Pendennis Castle — dramatic Tudor fortress with panoramic views over the Fal estuary and lots of history to poke around. Perfect for photos and a proper dose of seaside castles.
National Maritime Museum Cornwall — excellent, family-friendly museum on Discovery Quay that celebrates seafaring, boats and even surfing culture. Good for wet days.
Gyllyngvase & Swanpool beaches — sandy, sheltered and very walkable from town; Gylly’s the main town beach with decent facilities. If you want a quieter swim or a nature walk, Swanpool is worth it.
Fal river & ferries — taking the short ferry to St Mawes or a river cruise is one of the best ways to see the area — quick, scenic and proper Cornish
