It’s private, spacious yet cosy, and the worst thing about it is you’ll hate to leave!

We have lived here since July 2015 in the yellow bungalow (Windycote) just up from the chalet. We have owned Meadow View since February 2016, and also own two other lodges, one more here at Rudyard Lake, and the third about 20 minutes drive away in Cheshire. We’ve been incredibly lucky with where we’ve lived, having spent the 15 years before we moved up here (Mogs was born down the road in Congleton) living on houseboats first at Hampton Court, and then on the Itchen in Southampton….but nothing beats living in this beautiful area! We absolutely love it here and are happy to suggest places to visit and stuff to do if you’re new to the Peak District. Please text or call if you’d like to chat or have any issues! Options to fill your time include various activities such as sailing, fishing, walking and cycling, as well as visiting local sites of interest. Alternatively you can spend your time relaxing in a hot tub or just sitting watching nature go by.

This beautiful log cabin offers all the comforts of home in a stylish, Scandinavian environment. The private rear decking has a brand new hot tub, and you can absorb the beautiful, quiet atmosphere and enjoy a drink in hand. Perhaps in the summer months you may like to eat alfresco; the outdoor furniture offers a wonderful spot to sit out. This is a great place for walkers, anglers, paddlers, cyclists and people who just want to sit and do nothing. Just 2 miles away from the historic market town of Leek and on the edge of the Peak District with the Roaches just a 10 minute drive away. Should you fancy more excitement, Alton Towers is 40 mins away.
