Hi, we're John and Sarah Gibson, the proud owners of Lydgate House Hotel and Cottage, a hidden gem in the heart of Dartmoor. Sarah is the chef here at Lydgate and take care of the day-to-day running of both the hotel and the cottage. Crafting seasonal menus using fresh, local ingredients is something I love and I also work closely with our guests to help make every stay feel thoughtful and personal. ​John is a skilled antique upholsterer, and many of the unique furnishings you’ll see throughout the house and cottage have been lovingly restored by him, adding real character and charm to the spaces we share. ​Kelly, our Head of Guest Relations, works alongside us across both the hotel and the cottage, bringing warmth, calm, and an exceptional eye for detail to everything she does.
