Property information

Major House is a recently renovated Grade 2 listed family home in the heart of the coastal town of Newport within the Pembrokeshire National Park . With luxury design and stunning features, it sleeps up to 8 in 4 bedrooms. Situated a stones throw from shops, galleries, dog friendly pubs & a variety of wonderful cafes & restaurants, you are 10 mins walk from the the sea or the Preseli Mts. Great home. Great location. Come & stay!

Neighbourhood information

Major House is an ideal holiday venue in north Pembrokeshire, an area of outstanding natural beauty offering long clean sandy beaches , secluded rocky bays and dramatic cliffs, ancient castles and iron age forts, standing stones, fishing villages and tiny harbours. Plus of course, there is the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with it's stunning scenery. Newport truly offers something for everyone; walking (mountain and coastal), tennis ,horse riding, fishing, sailing (Newport Boat Club welcomes visitors), likewise the Newport Links 18 hole golf course. There is a soft play centre 30 minutes away and a children's playground in the village. Fishguard, ferries cross to Ireland several times a day. Behind the cottage lie the Preseli Hills,(where the blue stone of Stonehenge came from). The summit of the closest, Carn Ingli is an hours walk from the house . Through the village and towards the shore, the Parrog Estuary and small beach with its delightful coves and rock pools is only a five minute stroll from the cottage. Newport Sands is a 5 minute drive away or a 10 minute walk if you paddle across the estuary when the tide is out. A 20 minute walk from the bridge crossing the estuary takes
