The cupboard also houses a fan heater, mobile radiator, iron & ironing board plus extra dining chairs The fully tiled bathroom has a walk in shower, Jacuzzi bath, toilet & wash basin with cupboards below. The kitchen is fully fitted, equip with dish washer ,electric cooker & fridge. Extra fridge & freezer facilities are in the utility room. The lounge is comfortable with 3 seater sofa & relaxing chair. There is a TV & DVD player. French windows lead on to decking with garden furniture & overlooking the garden & small lake. Designated parking space is available on the drive.

My husband & I are retired and decided to make part of our home into an apartment. We wanted to share what we feel is a lovely location. Also we have met some delightful and interesting people. We are both very active. Terry plays crown Green Bowls & he is a team manager. I am also play Crown Green Bowls & manage a ladies team. I also play indoor bowls. Terry worked in computers and I was a teacher but also a swimming coach/teacher. I also, until lockdown, coached swimming to all ages in a local Triathlon club. Terry is an ex footballer playing for England Grammar schools. I am an ex England team swimmer-all those years ago! We love hosting at Merok Lodge & hope to have created a pleasant holiday let. Finally we are both very aware of the Coronavirus implications. We clean & sanitise the whole apartment after occupancy wearing all the protective clothing. We leave a 2 day gap between bookings to ensure healthy safety for our guests.

We are located in Little Eccleston, a small hamlet. At the bottom of the hill from our property (5 min walk) is the River Wyre which offers fishing. We are a good walking & cycling area in pleasant countryside. We are on a narrow country lane. Great Eccleston is just a 10 minute walk away (4 minutes by car). There is a ,we think, a very good fish & chip shop, butchers, Greengrocers, café, bakery ,Off licence plus post office & a small supermarket which opens until 19/20 hour. There are 2 pubs. The village also has a Health Centre & Dentist. Great Eccleston provides all our immediate needs. The larger super markets are a 15 minute drive away. There are 2 pubs. Taxis are available & a bus service to the nearby towns of Garstang , Poulton le Fylde, Blackpool, Preston & Lancaster. We are within driving distance to Blackpool, Fleetwood & Lytham St Annes. Also the Trough of Bowland, Lancaster & the Lake District(1 hour) .There are several golf courses (Lytham,Blackpool) & Crown Green Bowling. The active Cricket club has a bar. Great Eccleston has an annual agricultural show & a tractor pull event. There is also a Tractor Pull event in August. These are well acclaimed events.
