My Way Guest House is only 2.3 miles from the historic City, yet tucked away in an idyllic location overlooking the rolling countryside of County Durham. The rooms are all very light and tastefully refurbished with a boutique hotel feel. All on the ground floor and each with a private entrance and en suite bathrooms. We have 4 guest rooms, all on the ground floor. Guests will need to go up 2 steps to access the rooms. The Aiden room (twin room with en suite shower and bath) and the Bede room (king size bed with en suite shower) have an adjoining lockable door and can be booked together by families with young children. The Cuthbert room is our largest room and we can provide a travel cot and/or single fold out bed if required at a small extra fee. This room has an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower. The Oswald room is a single room with a standard size (3ft single bed). This room has an en suite shower. All rooms have facilities for making hot drinks and complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits are provided. All rooms offer complimentary soap, shampoo and conditioner as well as shower caps.

The guest house has direct access onto a huge network of footpaths, bridleways and cycle paths- making it ideal for guests who enjoy being outdoors. It is also close to many major attractions including Durham Cathedral and Castle, Beamish Museum, Hamsterley Forrest and the Angel of the North to name but a few. There's plenty of pubs, restaurants, banks and shops nearby. For guests who wish to bring bikes, we can provide somewhere for you to store your bikes and equipment during your stay. We may also be able to accommodate up to 2 horses and a horse box in our stables/paddocks at an extra fee.
