'Nature's Nook' was originally a 1930's Wagon constructed on a World War 1 DAAG Steam Lorry Chassis. My Great Grandad retired from the farm and lived in the Wagon for 25 yrs around a beautiful lake. We kept it in the family. My Mother was sentimentally attached and always wanted to restore it, however sadly this didn't happen in her lifetime. I have since had the Wagon re-built on the original chassis. I had it extended slightly and used top quality materials both inside and out oak, maple, sheep's wool insulation, bespoke kitchen, premium fabrics and antiques. Nature's Nook is a tribute to my lovely Mum, I wanted the best!! Exterior - Nature's Nook has a totally private enclosed garden area with a wood fired hot tub. Cherry tree stump wildlife carving. Gas fired barbeque, wooden bench and re-purposed animal cast iron water trough table!, raised decking area which allows views over horse fields and the Lincolnshire Wolds, also has seating and a parasol. Interior - Kitchen and living area with fridge, induction hob, Ninja Air Fryer cooker, toaster etc. All crockery utensils, glassware are provided. There is also a fold down oak table with two stools. The central living area has two large antique chairs, fold down table, standard lamp, corner unit, fold out TV, log burner. Stable door to front of the wagon. The bedroom area sleeps two persons, large wall mirror, antique mirror wall cupboard and mirror with hair dryer. Tiffany lighting along with individual reading lights, USB plug sockets. The en-suite has WC, corner sink, shower, bathroom cupboard etc. Towels and bedding provided.

Hi I am Louise, I have lived at Holme Lea since a child and it means a great deal to me. I am sentimental, like my Mother and an avid nature and wildlife lover. You will see this from the wagon decor etc. My aim is to do my best to help guests get the utmost from their stay with us. I live on site and always available either in person or on the phone. I love to chat and give my suggestions of where to go and what to do in the area.

South Reston is a pretty rural village between Louth (capital of the Wolds), and Mablethorpe. Other coastal areas are nearby such as Sutton on Sea, Anderby Creek, and Skegness. If you like the quieter beaches Mogs Eye and Huttoft bank will appeal. There is a main bus route through the village which links with Lincoln, Louth, Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea Skegness, if you wanted a break from driving. The Village is fortunate to have the Wagon & Horses which is also a restaurant, 5 mins walk from us. The pub has a small village shop within too. Holme Lea (Nature's Nook) is situated at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds with lovely scenery, great walks and cycling trails. Cadwell Park racing circuit is approx. 20 mins drive which hosts many events for motor heads. Lincolnshire is Battle of Britain Bomber County and is proud of this history. Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre it approx. 30 mins from us. Market towns where you can find a great selection of specialist individual shops such as bakers, butchers, cheese shops, craft and much more. Towns well worth a visit nearby are:- Louth, Alford, Horncastle, Woodhall Spa. A very good selection of dining choices in all. In the winter months Lincolnshire is still a great place to visit. Donna Nook a nearby coastal area is a main breeding spot for grey seals. A large number come onto the marsh to give birth and can be easily seen. This has got very popular over the years and is managed by the wardens to keep seals and public safe. It is lovely to walk along the beaches and often be the only ones there. Gibralter point near Skegness has a nature reserve and bird watching area centre.
