Stock up for the outdoor Patagonian grilling station by heading to Premier Meats in Colburn for a wide choice and a small greengrocer. The property is a couple of miles from the market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire, commonly known as ‘The Gateway to The Dales’. With its 11th Century castle, fine historic buildings, cobbled market place, and hidden corners, it is a treasure trove for visitors. We recommend Rustique, a popular French restaurant, and Barretts for the food. Millgate House Gardens overlooks the River Swale and is described as “one of the most surprising gardens in the North of England”. A few hundred metres away towards Catterick Garrison is the Nisa petrol station, a small Co-Op store, and Boots chemist. In nearby Catterick you will find Aldi and a large Tesco, plus facilities including a cinema and gym.
