No. 5 Smith Cottages is a STUDIO cottage . Built from Blue Lias stone in the early 1800's and converted from old stables in 1985. This cottage has sleeping, relaxing, cooking, & eating all in one large room. There is a separate bathroom with a shower cubicle. The cottage is fully self contained with its own entrance. The bed is a king size which can be split into 2 singles making the accommodation more flexible. Patio area and private car park for our guests. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Martin & Julie moved from London in 2013 and spent their first year renovating Smith Cottages. Part of a 'Yard' of 5 terraced styled properties they were originally a Butchers, a Bakery, an Ale House and a House of ill Repute! As well as managing Smith Cottages Julie is a Music Teacher, and Martin is a member of the Orchestra for English National Opera in London. Travelling as needed. They both enjoy Somerset immensely, and spend their spare time on their Boat which is moored in Windsor.
Langport is in the Heart of the Somerset Levels. Recently famous for flooding! There are lots of wonderful walks close by, and the area is great for cycling. On & Off road. Langport has numerous Cafes, and places to eat out, or take-a-way. 95% of Langports shops are independent but we also have a small Tesco for any essentials needed. Many of the South Wests famous landmarks are within an hour drive of Smith Cottages with the closest beach being only 30 mins away at Burnham-On-Sea.
