This profile is for me, Jaynor, and we mainly use it to let out the farmhouse that belongs to me and my sister. The farmhouse has been in my family since it was built as a farmhouse in the 1870s. My family were tenants on the farm until 1984 when my father had the opportunity to buy it. There are people next door who will deal with minor issues and they do the cleaning

Property information

A traditional working farmhouse on a Northumberland farm, that has been farmed by the same family, since at least the 1700s. Nestled in a quiet area of the Whin Sill, very close to Hadrian's Wall. In a quiet village with unique rural views all around. The landscapes are stunning, though quiet there will be farm animals and rural activity to delight visitors. The farmhouse is stone built, very much in the style of all farms built in the area in the 1800s. The house retains many original features.

Neighbourhood information

30 minutes from Newcastle, 15 from Hexham, there is a great pub, The Barrasford Arms 30 minutes walk across fields (or 5 minute drive). There is a shop in Barrasford as well. There is a playing field just 20 metres from the farm entrance. Hadrain Wall amenities are just 20 minutes drive away. There are wonderful walks from the door stpe plus views of the Whin Sill, Gunnerton Crag and the Tyne Valley
