Superb for walkers and cyclists (cycle hire available in Dalby Forest) with paths and bridleways to Newtondale, Cropton and Dalby Forest, and the Moors straight from the door. Located on the edge of ’Heartbeat Country’ with Goathland and Pickering only six miles away whilst Whitby and Scarborough are within a half an hour drive. Two pubs serving excellent meals 1½ miles. A good selection of shops in Pickering 6 miles.
