The Old Fisherman's Cottage was built in the 1700's and has been renovated to a very high standard whilst maintaining its traditional character. The addition of a garden room to the rear adds a calm and relaxing space to chill out, listen to music, read or just snooze! The cottage has a beautiful private sunken garden where you can enjoy dining al fresco or just relaxing round the fire pit. Located centrally within a few minutes walk of the town centre, ferry terminal and harbour, the cottage is a perfect base to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Bute.

Rothesay has a great Museum, Discovery Centre, Historic castle, many excellent cafes restaurants and pubs, all within a few minutes walking distance. Further afield is the fabulous Mount Stuart House & Gardens, Ardencraig Gardens and a Victorian Fernery ....... all well worth a visit. Bute has many planned walking routes for all abilities and fitness levels, including the famous West Island Way. The island is a great place to cycle both on and off road and we can offer secure storage if you decide to bring your bikes. There are 3 fantastic golf courses each with stunning views and welcome non members. Loch Fad Fisheries offer Trout & Pike angling with boats for hire in an amazing setting with the Arran hills as a backdrop.
