You will find all that’s needed to take the stress away from your stay in our beautifully curated and self contained shepherd huts. Each has king-sized bed, with luxurious 400 TC Egyptian cotton bedding. There is a fully equipped kitchenette with a butler sink, convection hob, toaster, kettle, full sized fridge and microwave. You also have your own ensuite with a full sized shower cubicle.
You will have your own personal fire pit by your door and either a wood burner or underfloor heating inside the hut.
The wood fired hot tub and fire pit is exclusively for each guests own use and can be lit and ready for your arrival. We supply enough hardwood, kindling and firelighters for your first nights use.
Wifi doesn't reach directly to the hut but there is very excellent 4G and access to our house WIFI if required for downloading etc.
Kate and Bean are experienced and fully fledged Super hosts with all 5 star reviews since opening last April.
They both launched their dream of opening a Shepherds Hut site after long standing creative careers as Art Directors in Fashion Publishing (Vogue, i-D) and Model Making/Set design in retail (Fortnum and Mason, Harvey Nicholls). Their experiences have fuelled their vision and given them the resources to create this beautifully curated experience within a slice of the spectacular North Norfolk countryside.
We are situated on the edge of Stody, a historic and unspoilt village in the heart of the Glaven Valley and minutes from the North Norfolk coast. The site is situated in the grounds of The Old King William; a 17th Century residence and former public house.
The local dog walks through the Glaven Valley are breathtaking but they are via permitted paths; Roe deer, pheasants and rabbits are abundant so please keep dogs on a lead. If you’d prefer to let them run wild, we are a hop and a skip from the coast with some of the best beaches on the planet. You can be by Blakeney Quay within 15 minutes and Wells and Holkham are a little further along the coast with some of the best beaches on the planet!
We are also very close to the famous Georgian market town of Holt (10 minutes drive), 25 minutes from Norwich and in walking distance of the much loved Hunny (Hunworth) Bell.
