Nest Guesthouse (property) is 2 minutes from the local beaches, coves and coastal walks in the quiet residential area of Margate. The property is located in a quiet residential area on a corner plot. There is free roadside parking outside the property with no permit or restrictions. A local and regular bus service is available just a short distance from the property which takes you all around the Thanet area where you can visit Margate Broadstairs and Ramsgate. Botany Bay and Walpole Bay are just a short walk away along the coastline. We have a twin guest bedroom with on-suite which is located downstairs which gives guests total privacy. The room overlooks the road-side of the property. The room has a T.V with selected sky channels, wifi (which covers the whole property) and a large on-suite comprising of a large shower, basin and toilet. The double room is situated upstairs and the bathroom is shared. The bed is a standard double. The room faces the rear of the property overlooking the garden.The shared bathroom consists of a jucuzzi bath, toilet and basin. There is also a seperate toilet. The room has a small fridge, kettle and toaster. Continental breakfast is provided and included in the price. This includes bread, jams, croissants, cereals, fresh milk and butter and an assortment of beverages and surprise treats. Cooked breakfast is available at an additional cost. Guests have use of the kitchen (upon request). There is a garden at the rear of the property where guests are permitted to smoke. Smoking is not permitted inside any areas of the property.

Martina and Kevin are owner's of Nest Guesthouse and have lived in the property for a 10 years. Martina and Kevin enjoy socialising and meeting people and consider themselves to be friendly and want their guests to feel comfortable during their stay. Kevin has lived in Margate all his life and is proud to be the last licenced Fisherman working from Margate Harbour Arm. Martina enjoys hosting and takes the main role hoping to ensure that guests have an enjoyable stay in Margate. Both Kevin and Martina have a good knowledge of Margate and surrounding area and are happy to share their knowledge and enthusiasm of living in Margate with their guests.

Nest Guesthouse (The property) is located in the quiet sought after area of Margate in a tree lined road 2 minutes walk to the quieter sandy beaches, coves and coastal walks. Turn left at the sea end of the road and local amenities include Tennis courts, Bowls, Bowling, Jet Ski lessons, Winter Gardens (shows and theatre), Turner contempary Art Centre, the famous heritage Dreamland theme Park and many cafes and bars. Turn right and head towards Botany Bay, Kingsgate and Broadstairs (where Charles Dickens once lived). The coastal walks are truly breathtaking. Visit the Old town of Margate where you will find cafes and bars of many cuisines and quaint boutiques and independent shops. Also nearby are Margate caves and Tudor House. There are local buses at each end of the road within walking distance which takes you all around Thanet (Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate) and are available every 10 minutes. Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate are very easy to get to using public transport. The Loop bus will take you all around Thanet. Each beach offers something different. Go to Ramsgate where the seafront is a Marina and visit The Pavilion (the old casino on the front) which is the largest Weatherspoons in the country and on a nice day, enjoy eating outdoors on the balcony areas overlooking the sea. Broadstairs has a horseshoe Bay with sandy beaches and a bit more "oldy-worldy" and in the summer season, even has Punch and Judy on the beach. The main sands in Margate are the nearest sandy beaches to London. There is a train station in Margate which takes you straight into London and takes approximately 1 hour 30 mins. Dover is approximately 1 hour's drive where you can get the ferry to France. Canterbury is approximately 30 minutes drive away where you can visit the famous Canterbury Cathedral, visit the Canterbury Tales and the town area has lots of shops, bars and cafe's or go to see West End shows at The Marlow Theatre.
