The property boasts an upstairs bathroom, attached sunny courtyard, a well-equipped kitchen and spacious lounge/diner. While the cottage does not come with its own parking, there are plenty of unrestricted spaces around the village. Oyster is just a stone's throw away from the historic Cockwood Harbour with its bobbing boats and a 16th century inn that was once the haunt of smugglers and pirates.

Cockwood currently boasts a great 16th century pub, The Anchor, which can be found right on the harbour and is famous for its sumptuous seafood menu. The Blue Flag sandy beach at Dawlish Warren is just a mile away and offers a range of family entertainment, from go-karts and permanent rides to adventure golf and a mini version of the London Eye. Guests can hire bikes at Dawlish Warren to explore the stunning 17-mile Exe Trail cycle path, which takes in the ancient fishing villages and pubs that line both sides of the estuary. For dog owners, there are plenty of walks to choose from including at Dawlish Countryside Park just a short stroll up the hill from the cottage. Starcross Railway Station is 20 minutes away on foot, which gives easy access to the historic and bustling city of Exeter and nearby coastal towns including Exmouth via a stunningly picturesque 15-minute ferry ride across the Exe Estuary.
