Immaculately kept inside and out, perfect cosey feeling with the log burner! Love the addition of the clues, just wish we picked up on it sooner!

The accomodation was a converted farm building. Very well designed with a luxurious finish. We loved the quirky puzzle to solve for our bottle of Prosecco. The cider stash was also good. Was a very comfortable and quiet stay. If only we had found...

This property is a recently converted 250-year-old barn. It is the perfect romantic retreat for two. No expense has been spared and throughout the barn are carefully thought out touches which give the place a luxurious feel. Spoil yourselves! For your convenience we've a freezer stocked with a selection of ready-made meals. Occasionally we have guests running late or are too tired to manage the 30 minute round trip to Waitrose. It is an honesty based system; just keep a record of what you've had and leave your card details on our form before you leave. We have a tandem fitted with a wicker picnic hamper and the grounds of Burghley House make the perfect backdrop for your alfresco dinning.
Having moved to the Stamford area about 20 years ago my wife and I have really enjoyed living in the countryside. We are keen cyclists and have learned some of the best walks in the area.
The property is located in a village 5 miles from Stamford, a beautified stone market town and home of Burghley House. It's a great place to enjoy tearooms and traditional pubs. We are surrounded by open farmland and the roads are very quiet. You'll find a detailed description of our favorite 4-mile walk. It is a circular route that takes you through Barnack Nature Reserve and provides glimpses of Walcot Hall a Grade I listed Carolean country mansion.
