Tucked away in a quiet secluded valley just 3 miles inland from the North coast lies Hendra Retreat. Set in a peaceful location away from traffic. We have 3 modern barn conversions here that offer year-round accommodation with self-catering facilities for those who prefer an independent break. Piglet's is a spacious lovely contemporary and stylish barn with free parking We are just ten minutes drive to the coast and ideal for families. We are family run and you have 2 neighbours from the other barns. Please keep noise to a minimum at all times and be very quiet after 11pm especially if you are in the garden . Any groups of youngsters age 21 and under please enquire prior to booking. Piglet's is a very modern spacious barn that sleeps 8. It is split in 3 levels. Entrance level has a double bedroom sleeping 2 and a family bathroom with a walk in Myra shower, WC and bath. Down stairs to the large open plan diner, lounge and well equipped kitchen and garden. Upstairs to the very large master bedroom, double twin bedroom and a bathroom with a walk in Myra shower and WC Facilities include Microwave Dishwasher Cooker Hob Washing machine 50" Smart TV lounge TV in each bedroom Hairdryer Blackout curtains Free Wi-Fi Parking for 3 cars right outside the property. Please park sensibly on the tarmac. Back garden has a BBQ table. You will need to provide a disposable BBQ for this to sit on top. Garden furniture is chairs and small tables for drinks. Astro turf and fully enclosed. We have a large maintained field with stunning views for families to enjoy right beside your property. Our guests tell us it is an excellent extra. We have our own spring water supply that is UV filtered to British Standards. EV CHARGER new for 2022 This is a smart EV project charger. You will need to download the app. You will need your own lead. All instructions are beside the charger. The price reflects the installation costs.l
Bridget and Tom welcome you to Hendra Retreat. Our hobbies have been converting 3 barns. When we need a break we take our kayaks to Port Gavern and relax on the water. We also like to swim and body board at Trebarwith Strand then sit on the rocks with a picnic and a cider and watch the sunset. Most weekends we enjoy a live band at local venues.
Hendra Retreat in lovely North Cornwall. Ideal for families and couples to discover our beautiful coastline. We have some of the finest restaurants here in North Cornwall. Nathan Outlaws at Port Isaac, Paul Ainsworth at No. 6 Padstow Michelin 1 Star and now at the Mariners Rock Why not treat yourselves and have a drink? We can provide transport and babysitting for that extra special night out. Please ask before arrival. We are also 5 miles to 2 popular wedding venues Pengenna Manor and Cornish Tipi Weddings. Trebarwith Strand is 5 minutes drive away and is great for surfing, body boarding, building sandcastles or walking the stunning coast path to Tintagel or Port Quin. The Port Willy pub is an ideal place for food with a fantastic view. Roughter - Bodmins most rugged tor is a 10-minute drive, once there you can walk to Brown Willy. Trebarwith strand, Bude, Polzeth and Crackington Haven are all patrolled by lifeguards in the peak season and are10-30 minutes drive. Historical village of Tintagel renowned for King Arthurs Castle is ten minutes away. The Camel cycle trail from Bodmin to Padstow via Wadebridge. A great day out. You can hire bikes easily at Wadebridge . St Nectars Glen an area of outstanding beauty and waterfalls is 10 minutes away. Bowood golf course is a 2-minute drive and does an excellent Sunday Carvery. Bossiney has a lovely coastal walk to Tintagel, Rocky valley and Boscastle. Port Isaac . This is where Doc Martin TV series was filmed. It offers lovely places to eat whether it is fish and chips or a Cornish cream tea and splendid sightseeing. Rock is 30 minutes by car. Rock offers water skiing and paddle boarding. Here you can catch the ferry to Padstow . Daymar bay is good for wind boarding, Kayaking. rock pooling and very safe for young children. Polzeth which is great for surfing and young children.
