Part of our spacious 3 floor private apartment above our coffee shop . 2 newly renovated rooms in historic town house in the centre of Helmsley, close to the market square with a great views of Helmsley Castle snd Duncombe Park providing a base to explore the town and surrounding atmosphere. Guests are welcome in their private en suite rooms. There are no cooking facilities but Helmsley has a range of great dinning options which we are happy to point out to you. We do have parking reserved for quests and it’s located behind our property right in front of the Art Centre ( Old meeting House ) Please note that we have a cat, in case of allergies, which does not go into guest rooms but is in the public areas.

We are team of two who live in Helmsley since 2007. We run our busy coffee shop together and after 20 years working together and happily married we decided to open our home to travellers like ourselves to share our love for the North York Moors National Park and the lovely market town of Helmsley. We are excited to welcome new visitors to Helmsley and our home and know you will want to return time and time again.

Helmsley is an historic market town with great attractions including Helmsley Walled garden, Helmsley Castle and the International Centre for Birds of Prey. You could spend a week here and enjoy the slow paced life of a local, eating out in the wide range of eateries and relaxing, or you can use it as a base to explore the North York Moors, with the Coast and both National Parks in easy driving distance. It is the start of the Cleveland Way national trail, but there are plenty of walks for the less adventurous hiker, right from our door. We are always happy to make recommendations for your itinerary or to leave you in peace to make your own discoveries of local food, art, heritage, culture and the magical landscape around us, including Duncombe Park which is accessible and a well known film location and nature area. Helmsley even has a public heated open air pool May-September. Our Arts Centre is adjacent to our property and has a wide range of programming. You will not be bored in Helmsley, and you will definitely go home relaxed and revitalised from your stay!
