We love living at Raise View and waking up to the magnificent views each day. It gives us great pleasure to share this with guests from all over the world. We are both keen walkers and cyclists and enjoy nothing more than an afternoon on the fells.

Just five minutes walk from the centre of the village Raise View House is perfectly situated to explore the whole region yet some of the area's most breathtaking scenery are right on our doorstep.There are so many varied and interesting walks right from our front door and we are more than happy to help plan your day. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and our Cumbrian breakfast using local produce will undoubtedly set you up for a day on the fells. A vegetarian breakfast is also available as well as special dietary requirements. The attention to detail, good food, quality of service and beautiful decor are why so many guests keep coming back to Raise View House year after year.

Grasmere is the jewel in the crown in the Lake District and as Wordsworth the famous poet described it 'The fairest place on Earth' and who could argue with the great man. Famous also for Grasmere Gingerbread, St Oswalds Church, The National Trust House Allan Bank,The Heaton Cooper Studio & Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Trust There are also many interesting and varied places to eat all within walking distance from Raise View House. Grasmere Sports is also held on the August Bank Holiday Sunday every year were you can see fell running, Lakeland wrestling and trail hounds.
