There are a range of activities on your doorstep, the Rheged Centre with cafes, galleries and shops is a 5 minute drive, Dalemain House and Gardens and the Alpaca Centre are 15 minutes drive and Lake Ullswater itself with lake cruise and watersports is 10 minutes away. The outdoor enthusiast can enjoy an abundance of walks from the door with woodlands, Great Mell Fell leading to Aira Force and the Caldbeck Fells all within easy reach of your holiday retreat. The coast 2 coast cycle route passes the door and watersports on Lake Ullswater are within a 10 minute drive. After your day’s exploring, return to the peace and tranquility of Hutton John where you can relax, prepare a delicious home cooked meal in the comfort of your well equipped kitchen and reflect on the day’s adventures together. On the nights you prefer not to cook, Dacre and Penruddock each have a village inn serving home cooked meals and local ales, both within 3 miles. The cottage is on the owners 550 acre estate close to Lake Ullswater and has been lovingly maintained with the enthesis on environmentally eco friendly materials that lend themselves to the surroundings and provide a modern home from home from which to enjoy a peaceful break away. The detached cottage retains many heritage features with an eclectic mix of contemporary and antique furniture to provide a spacious, comfortable, home from home.
