Built in 2016, River Cottage sits within its own garden on the southern bank of the Alde estuary at Iken Cliff, near Aldeburgh, one mile down stream of the renowned Snape Maltings concert hall, café, shops and pub, and in the middle of the Suffolk Heritage coastal area. River Cottage is a self-catering property. The entire space, including living/breakfast area, entrance hall, bathroom, bedrooms and garden is yours alone.

Kate is an experienced host who has operated self-catering and B&B lets since 2003, and she looks forward to welcoming you at River Cottage (self-catering) or at her other property, River View (B&B).

•River Cottage overlooks the estuary as it winds its way in from the Suffolk coast and on up to Snape Maltings - a world renowned centre for music and culture (a beautiful 20-minute walk by footpath). •Bird life is in abundance including avocet and a multitude of other waders, while common seals can be seen on the mudbanks when the tide falls, or swimming in the river channel. All can be seen from River Cottage. •Bird watching is also a feature at the RSPB reserve at Minsmere – a half hour drive away, and close by is the delightful village of Orford. •The seaside town of Aldeburgh is a 15 minute drive, while Thorpeness, Woodbridge and Southwold are within easy reach, not forgetting the pretty villages of Walberswick and Dunwich. •In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, River Cottage really does offer a unique location for a holiday, in a wonderful part of the country.
