The property is a recently renovated, picturesque cottage, built in the 1800's, with a beautiful garden and riverside location. Riverside Cottage has it's own fishing and mooring rights. The location is perfect, in Jackfield, right in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to many museums. There's a great choice of country pubs, cafe's and restaurants within walking distance. The iconic Ironbridge with it's bustling little town with independent shops is nearby and is easily accessible on foot along the Severn Valley Way. The Property: The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to prepare meals. Relax in the cozy living area with patio doors opening out to the beautiful garden with views of the river severn. The property features 2 bedrooms; 1 double, 1 single. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge which converts into a double bed. The property has it’s own private drive with room to park 1 vehicle. There is also free on street parking nearby if required. Children must be supervised on site due to possible safety hazards with direct access to the river.
Neighbourhood information Nestled in the heart of Jackfield, Shropshire, Riverside Cottage offers a picturesque retreat along the banks of the River Severn. Located within the Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the cottage is surrounded by breath taking natural beauty, historic landmarks, and charming local shops and cafés. Just a short walk away, you'll find the iconic Iron Bridge, museums showcasing the area’s industrial heritage, and scenic walking trails perfect for exploring the stunning Shropshire countryside. Also easily accessible are the historic towns of Shrewsbury, Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and Ludlow. The nearby Blists Hill Victorian Town is also a special place to visit and the River Severn offers many activities along its route. Telford town centre, around a 15 minute drive, offers a shopping mall, many restaurants, two cinemas, bowling, ice skating, and an award winning park. Shropshire offers many outdoor activities including, golf, horse-riding, water sports and bicycle tracks. It is a truly special walkers’ paradise.
