We therefore carefully consider where we chose to open up new accommodation to ensure it meets what we would expect ourselves. We stay at all of our accommodation before they go live in order to ensure they are set up effectively and efficiently to allow you a hassle free and relaxing stay. Property information

Catchpole Stays Wallgate apartments provide a glimpse into the rich history of Colchester as well as being in touching distance of the town itself. The property has the roman wall flowing beside the building and into the back yard as well as sitting outside the location of the original north gate entrance. Hense the name Wallgate. The property itself is a beautiful grade II listed building which has been modernised but still provides a lot of character through the wooden beams that flow through the property. We personally have a close affinity with Colchester having met at the university there just over 12 years ago in our first few days and its crazy to look back and think that Colchester played such a big part in our lives as a married couple today. We have absolutely fell in love with the area and the history it has and therefore knew it was an area we would want to have an apartment that provided others with the opportunity to explore. Colchester has such a great history to it being the oldest registered town in England. You can visit the castle, St Boltophs Priory or see the Roman wall surrounding the town, all of which provide activities for adults and kids. If you are wanting to explore a little further afield you can go to Colchester zoo, or visit many of the local beaches in Mersea Island, Holland on Sea, The beautiful village of Wivenhoe or a bit further a field the lovely Frinton on Sea

Neighbourhood information

Wallgate sits on at the bottom of North Hill and is accessed via St Peters Street. At the end of St Peters street you have access to the back of Castle park down by the lake and only a short walk to Colchester Castle. Alternatively just a short walk up North Hill is the main high street and town. Colchester has such a great history to it being the oldest registered town in England. You can visit the castle, St Boltophs Priory or see the Roman wall surrounding the town, all of which provide activities for adults and kids. If you are wanting to explore a little further afield you can go to Colchester zoo, or visit many of the local beaches in Mersea Island, Holland on Sea, The beautiful village of Wivenhoe or a bit further a field the lovely Frinton on Sea The property allows access to all the Colchester has to offer with it also not being too far from North Station and routes in and around Colchester and the surrounding towns.
