This is a working small holding with the owners living in another building on the land .They intermittently hold small creative art workshops in the adjoining barn to the holiday cottage . Periodically there will also be volunteers helping the owners on the land/buildings aiming to build the small holding into a sustainable environmental project. The ultimate aim is to supply local food projects like the food bank.
Jo and Adam bought this small holding on 2021 . We are both osteopaths and artists.. Adam is a potter and Jo is a weaver. The property is based within a 19th Century barn and stable building, part of which is used as our craft workshops and studios. We have set up our small holding Mud and Wool to create a beautiful place to reconnect with nature , creativity and to rest and replenish . We are growing using many different regenerative agriculture methods to try to e sustainable with the ever changing climate. We love showing our guests around if they would like a tour of the small holding .
The setting is very rural- which is a great opportunity to get away from it all but only 17 minutes to the coast and 17 mins from the Cambrian Mountains . It's based on a peaceful 14-acre rewilding project which was previously an organic farm, alongside the traditional farmhouse and our artists' studios. .
Despite the rural setting, you're less than a 20 mins drive from just about any amenity you could want, with several local towns nearby. From the quirky, alternative, university town of Lampeter to the lovely Welsh port, that is a hidden treasure, Aberaeron with great places to eat to the red kite centre in the lovely village of Tregaron all offering a range of facilities. Slightly further afield is Aberystwyth, where the nearest rail connection can be found.
15 mins driving gets you to the coast in Llanrhystud. 15 mins drive gets you to the Cambrian Mountains in Tregaron- the best of both worlds.
Members of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) have selected the Rhos yr Hafod in Cross Inn (Llanon) as the Bae Ceredigion CAMRA pub of the year and cider pub of the year 2025 which is 11 mins drive away
