Looking for a peaceful North Devon escape? Sunshine Cottage is a cosy 16th-century retreat in the quiet hamlet of Lobb—just minutes from Saunton Beach. This semi-detached home blends historic charm with beautiful countryside views, ideal for families, couples, or friends.
LIVING AREA:
Full of character, the living room features stone floors, wooden beams, and comfy grey sofas. Large windows brighten the space, with quirky touches like a carved wooden horse and heart mirror. A kids’ corner with beanbags and games adds family-friendly fun—perfect for reading or movie nights.
KITCHEN AND DINING:
The spacious kitchen seats 10 and includes a dishwasher, fridge, double oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and all essential cookware—ideal for shared meals.
BEDROOMS:
Bedroom 1 – Bunk Room (Sleeps 2):
Ground-floor room with wooden bunk bed, stone walls, soft rug, and vintage toys—great for kids or teens.
Bedroom 2 – King + Single (Sleeps 3):
Upstairs room with king and single bed, sea and countryside views—perfect for a couple with a child or two friends.
Bedroom 3 – Family Room (Sleeps 4):
Spacious room with king bed and bunk beds, wooden beams, skylight, and playful lighting—great for families.
BATHROOMS:
Main bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink.
Upstairs WC with sink.
Outdoor toilet—ideal after beach trips or BBQs.
OUTDOOR SPACE:
Enjoy a private courtyard with a luxury hot tub, colourful seating, potted plants, and cobbled path. Kids can play on the lawn or swing under the trees while adults relax at the tables. Sheltered, quiet, and perfect for BBQs or stargazing.
THE VIEW:
Take in open views of green fields, grazing sheep, and peaceful farmland. On clear days, spot Braunton Burrows and the sea. Though close to the beach, the setting feels delightfully rural and calm.
