The area is famous for its lush golf courses, with a wide choice in the immediate locality and within 30 minutes' drive.
Head to St Andrews, home of Scotland's oldest university, and stroll along the two-mile stretch of pristine beach, West Sands, where Chariots of Fire was filmed.

For water-sports enthusiasts or anyone who wants to try something new, there is a choice of water sports in the nearby town of Elie, which also has a beautiful harbour and beach.
Tentsmuir Forest and beach on the outskirts of St Andrews (within a half hour drive) is great for exploring; if you want to venture further afield, the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park offers some lovely opportunities for longer walks in the Scottish hills.
Crail is probably the most attractive of the historic fishing villages in the 'East Neuk' Of Fife. The picturesque ancient harbour has been captured on canvas by many artists. Enjoy a feast on fresh lobster and crab which can be purchased daily from the harbour in the High Season.
