Seabird Cottage lies right by the edge of the sea in Harrapool, near Broadford on the Isle of Skye. A private lane leads down to the cottage, signposted from the main road. You’ll find a peaceful retreat with a private garden with gate leading directly on to the rocky Jurassic shore and sandy bay. The cottage is within easy walking distance of local shops, cafes and restaurants but it feels secluded and is a perfect hideaway to watch the ever changing sea and plan your exploration of Skye. The living room and kitchen have stunning views north across Skye’s Inner Sound. In a wide panorama from Raasay to the mainland of Applecross, Torridon and Strathcarron you can see nine islands, two lighthouses and eight Munros. Wildlife is ever present, there are otters, a grey seal colony, dolphins and a wide variety of seabirds and even an occasional sea eagle. The cottage has a spacious hallway leading to two double bedrooms with king size beds. One of the bedrooms is en suite, there is also a large bathroom with separate bath and shower. A utility room holds a washer, dryer and freezer for your use. The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge.

Having lived abroad for many years we've come home to Scotland to retire, but love meeting people from all over the world. Since moving here to Skye we're blown away by the beauty of the landscape, the history, and the incredible wildlife. We hope you'll be just as excited to stay right beside the sea.
