On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms and the lounge, with views towards the old Court House. Additionally on this level is the first of 2 shower rooms.
Heading upstairs from the second floor you will find a further bedroom that can be set up with two single or a super-king sized bed. Adjacent to the bedroom there is a spacious shower room. Both rooms on this top floor have superb views of both the Court House and MacLellans Castle.
We live and work in Kirkcudbright having moved to the area in 2018. We like walking and cycling an generally enjoying everything that Dumfries and Galloway has to offer.
We have renovated Serendipity with the help of some great local tradesmen. We are now looking forward to welcoming guests and hope that they love the area as much as we do.
Kirkcudbright is a quaint harbour town – known as the “Artists Town”. There are numerous galleries, museums, cafes and restaurants. The town has two small supermarkets, a post office, many independent and interesting shops, pharmacies, garages, a hospital and health centre, swimming pool etc.
The area is a haven for walkers, cyclists, sailors, golfers, artists and anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of the area. Roads in the area are very quiet, making it one of the best cycling areas in the country.
Serendipity is a listed Victorian townhouse – located in the historic artists’ quarters – a stones throw away from the former residence of E Hornell who was one of the “Glasgow Boys”.
The harbour is a minutes walk away, and it is possible to do several interesting walks direct from the cottage into the beautiful countryside, without the need for a car.
