Our family moved back from New Zealand in 2014. We have found a wee piece of paradise in Shamrock Cottage. From the minute the gates open, relaxation kicks in. Our boys enjoy fishing off the jetties and exploring the trees, scrub and waters edge! I offer a 19 page tourist guide to our area, and will help you with any questions you have so you css axman have the best holiday in our area. We also have an apartment in Castlerock on the north coast which we let out. I love photography especially teaching it, I’m a part-time farmer, was a scientist and busy mum to my four boys! We love our cottage and know you will too!
Portagaria Wood, Aghnablaney, is a fabulous base for exploring Fermanagh, Donegal and Sligo. Within 30 minutes you can be in a town, on a beach, in a woodland, on the lake or on a mountain top! Lots of local walks, lots to explore by boat and we can give you information regarding hire of a boat or guided tours via boat. Plenty of indoor venues such as Belleek pottery, Enniskillen Museum, Donegal Tweed, National Trust properties including Castle Coole and Florencecourt. The remarkable Marble Arch Caves too.
On site, there is a long drive way to the cottages. Each are now privately owned but the site was all self-catering cottages until early 2016. Although the four cottages are located at the end of the drive, each is private. Shamrock Cottage is the last along the front and there are no other cars on site passing by. It's safe for children playing outside! The lake is visible from the kitchen and lounge with large windows. It's an ever changing view! Enjoy it from outside on the patio or inside in the sun lounge!
