Shore Cote is an impressive five bedroom family beach house located in the quirky coastal village of Thorpeness. Sitting on the cliff top at the edge of the village the house boasts some of the best sea views in the area. The property is bright and breezy and comfortably furnished with the sitting room enjoying panoramic sea views. French doors lead out to balcony/veranda offering magnificent views out to sea and garden. A small viewing area also enjoys lovely views towards the beach. Shore Cote has comfortable bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, dining room and an enclosed garden with a gate leading from the garden onto the beach. ***As of July 2025, due to ongoing coastal erosion, unfortunately there is currently no direct access to the beach from Shorecote. The owner is actively working with the local Council to find a resolution. However, beach access is still available just a short distance from the property, and full details will be provided upon arrival. Thorpeness is a village located just one mile north of Aldeburgh on the stunning Suffolk Heritage Coast. Developed as a private fantasy holiday village, Glen Ogilvie built the Country Club, golf course, tennis courts and an artificial lake called the ‘Meare’. The Meare has inspirations from J. M. Barrie’s work of Peter Pan and holds the annual Thorpeness Regatta where boat races are held during the day and a fantastic fireworks display can be enjoyed during the evening. Thorpeness is also home to the House in the Clouds. An old water tower that was considered an eye-sore has been developed into a fantastic 5-storey holiday home. You won’t miss it whilst you are visiting the village.
