Waterhouses is a small community on the southern edge of the Peak National Park, midway between the larger towns of Leek and Ashbourne. The settlement previously served as the end point of the Manifold Valley Light Railway, which is now known as the beautiful Manifold Cycle Track and travels along the Hamps and Manifold rivers.
