A lovely escape in the Heart of Cornwall. The ideal location to explore North & South Coasts, off-road Trails, Towns, superb beaches nearby and a walk to the village. Super-comfy, enormous beds (Super king & bigger) in each cottage are so nice you won't want to leave. * Ample parking and free wifi * There's outdoor seating by each Cottage and around the 4 acres of wild meadows where you can take in the magnificent countryside views. * A large sofa bed (when booked for 3 guests in Quirky Cottage) We converted the former farm worker's cottages dating back to at least 1800. Having tried to get help from builders, who either said they had no time or they wanted the sale of our left kidney, we decided to do it ourselves. So there are two cottages available 'Quirky Cottage' & 'Quirky Too', both full of character & charm with hand crafted details. Each cottage is completely independent with its own entrance, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, lounge & bedroom. You can book both for 4/5 guests wanting to holiday together, as they can be linked through an internal doorway.

Quirky Cottage has an enormous super-comfy, Emperor size bed upstairs & can sleep a 3rd guest on the sofa bed in the lounge. It has a walk in shower downstairs with a heated towel rail. The cottage has a mono pitch ceiling in the bedroom with ample headroom in the main used parts and slopes to a lower level behind the bed. Being full of character features, fully equipped and modern comforts. Quirky Too has a super comfy, Super King bed, (which can be divided into 2 large singles upon advance request for 3 night stays or more) and an en suite shower room downstairs. The kitchen & lounge are upstairs has a mono pitch ceiling and lovely handcrafted touches, it is fully equipped and comfortable. All linen & towels are provided, along with essentials to get you started. Martin and I moved here in 2016. I have lived in Cornwall 99% of my life, so I'm very much a local, whilst Martin is from Slovakia, but he classes the Uk as his home, having been here for over 15 years. Wesley House was in an exceptionally poor state as was the surrounding buildings and paddocks, but the location was idyllic. Since then we have worked very hard to clear, renovate and landscape the whole property. It's a work in progress as we continue to improve every aspect of the property. We are now delighted to invite guests to stay here and share our lovely surroundings. We want to make your stay here as special as we can, as we know how important 'time out' is. We will do our best to help if you need anything or have any problems whilst you are here, so please ask. Please note, we have 3 outdoor security cameras focused on the entrance driveway to the property, rear lane and our porch. For your privacy, the cameras are never directed towards any outdoor seating areas or cottage entrances and there are absolutely no cameras inside the cottages

You'll all the space and fresh air you could ever want. With unspoilt bird song, wild natural surroundings, where you can find a seating area, have a bbq in the evening and watch the sun go down and see the glorious expanse of the stars. Within a short drive to both North & South coast beaches we're handy for Falmouth, Truro, St Ives, Marazion & many other places so it's a great location. Lanner village is just 0.5 mile down the tree lined road, where you will find the local spar shop, take away fish and chips, the village bakery, with fresh pasties, bread and cakes, the garage & the Coppice Inn. On the village outskirts the Fox & Hounds pub have a marvellous menu & great atmosphere. It also welcomes dogs. We are 2 miles to Stithians Lake which offers a range of watersports including sailing, kayaking and windsurfing tuition. For walkers & cycle enthusiasts the Tresavean tramway is close by. Being steeped in tin mining history and now a rural haven it links with the many Cornish off-road trails. Redruth town is 1.5 miles away and there's a good selection of supermarkets and takeaways many of which deliver here. You would never know that we're just 2 miles from the A30.
